Today, Ben and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. I got to thinking about all the new and exciting things that have happened in our lives over the past 6 years, a few highlights being moving to Chapel Hill, buying our condo, becoming an aunt and uncle to 3 nephews, obtaining 3 graduate degrees (Ben's MS and PhD and my MA), Ben getting his faculty job at Elon, seeing all of our close friends get married and almost all of them become parents, and of course, becoming parents ourselves.
Now in years past, our wedding anniversary celebrations included going out for a nice dinner, and in the case of last year's 5th anniversary, going out of town for vacation. However, with a new baby, this year's celebration consisted of having take-out delivered from Spice Street and eating it while rocking Ally to sleep. Ah well, it doesn't even matter, it was still a happy anniversary :)
