There was an episode of the TV show Scrubs a couple years ago or so, where one of the interns did a really funny beat-box number entitled "He's Got Fluid", dedicated to a patient with fluid in his lungs. This past week, Ben has been sick with pneumonia, and as the chest x-ray from Thursday showed, he too has "got fluid." Actually Ben is doing much better than he was this time last week, as his fever is gone and he is not coughing as much or experiencing gurgling in his chest when he breathes. It seems like the antibiotics and inhaler are doing their job. We've also been keeping our distance from one another and trying to wash our hands a lot and disinfect things we touch (like the TV remote) so that Ben doesn't re-infect himself and so that I don't get sick.
